Massive Bastard Strength & Base Building Program
A 3-day strength-focused program built around the big barbell movements without ignoring the rest of your body.
Massive Bastard takes the simplicity of classic strength programs and builds a more complete strength and muscle-building base around it.
You'll squat and bench twice per week, deadlift once per week, and use simple progression systems designed to keep you moving forward without turning every workout into a max-effort test.

The Goal
Get stronger while building the muscular base that supports long-term strength.
Massive Bastard is not a bare-bones program where you squat, press, pull, and go home.
The major barbell lifts remain the priority, but enough well-rounded work is included to develop muscle from head to toe. The program was specifically designed around the idea that additional muscular development matters for long-term strength development.
The Main Structure
Workout 1: Heavy squat and bench, pulling, shoulders, arms
Workout 2: Deadlift, overhead pressing, pulling, hamstrings, traps, core
Workout 3: Back-down squat and bench, pulling, shoulders, arms
Squat and bench use a heavy day followed by a 20% back-down day, while deadlifts use a 6-minute block of controlled singles and doubles.
Who Is Massive Bastard For?
This program is not designed for complete novices.
You should already have a reasonable understanding of squat and deadlift technique and be comfortable training with the major barbell movements.
Massive Bastard is a good fit if you want to:
-
Build strength in the squat, bench press, and deadlift
-
Train only three primary days per week
-
Build muscle without switching to a traditional bodybuilding split
-
Follow clear progression without complicated percentage charts
-
Keep the big lifts at the center of your training
-
Use a program that covers more than the bare minimum
Simple. Hard. Complete.
You don't need another program built around endless complexity.
You need good exercises, hard training, reasonable progression, and enough patience to let the work add up.
Download Massive Bastard and get to work.
